Work Description

M&C Assemblies, Inc. is a piece work related business. Quality of work is one our main requirements. We do not sacrifice quality for speed.

All new assembly techs are scheduled with either a veteran tech or company manager for the training period. Training period is paid as hourly.

Training periods can last anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks. Not everyone builds on the same pace or level. Some are more thorough, some are more natural but anyone can assemble various units correctly and quickly.

Once the training period is over, each tech will be scheduled stores, customers or clients to service. Majority of the time the schedule is the same from week to week...However, visits often change due to various circumstances and so must the tech's schedule.

Perks & Disadvantages

M&C Assemblies, Inc., like any job has its advantages and disadvantages. Job Opportunities listed several key advantages such as; job freedom and good pay,  but we feel that each possible M&C assembly tech should also be aware of the disadvantages.

One of the main and most problematic disadvantages about our line of work is that it is seasonal. The good thing about seasonal in Florida is that the summer season is much longer than most other places in the USA. Our busier season starts around the end of February and/or March and last through August and sometimes up to or past November.

Another one of the more difficult disadvantages we endure is that we are busiest during holidays. We strive for holiday rise in the sale of products and it is then we can offer the most work and make the most money. Getting time off during holidays is extremely limited and most of the time mandatory to work.

Finally, one of the most stressful disadvantage is payments. Payroll and payments are processed bi-weekly in the Oldsmar office. Due to the wide range of our market base and assembly tech living locations payments are issued through the mail. Mail is slow and time consuming therefore payment arrival varies and the receiver must be patient.
